Privacy Policy

The short version

ARTEFEKT has no user accounts, no server that receives your photos or videos, and no advertising or tracking. Everything you capture, import, or edit is processed on your device. Nothing leaves it unless you choose to share it.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera: to show the live viewfinder and take photos and video.
• Microphone: to record sound with video. Used only while you record video.
• Photos: to import existing photos and video, to save your captures to your Photos library, and to delete items from it when you delete them in ARTEFEKT's gallery. iOS asks you to confirm deletions.
• Motion: to detect how you are holding the phone, so photos and video are saved the right way up. Motion data is used live. It is not stored or sent anywhere.

The app does not send any of this off your device. You can change any permission at any time in iOS Settings.

What is stored on your device

• Your saved styles (the effect and enhance settings you name and save) and the preview images shown with them
• The list and thumbnails behind the in-app gallery. The photos and videos themselves are kept in your Photos library.
• Basic app settings and preferences

This data stays on your device, is not linked to your identity, and is removed when you delete the app. Photos and videos already saved to your Photos library are not removed when you delete the app.

Sharing and saving

When you save or share a photo or video, ARTEFEKT hands it to your device's native share sheet, the same system feature any app uses to send to Messages, Mail, Photos, or elsewhere. You choose the destination each time. We do not receive a copy of anything you share.

Purchases

If you start a free trial, subscribe, or buy ARTEFEKT, Apple handles the transaction through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details, and we do not create an account for you. The app checks with Apple whether your purchase or subscription is active so it can unlock its features. Apple's privacy policy covers how Apple handles purchase data.

Analytics and crash data

ARTEFEKT does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting service. If you have chosen to share iOS analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash and usage reports. We receive nothing that identifies you. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated first and will describe what is added and why.

Website and community

This policy covers the app. The website at artefekt.app and any community space we link to, such as Discord, are separate and have their own practices.

Children's privacy

ARTEFEKT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your control over your data

We do not collect or hold personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You control your data directly: delete items from the gallery, delete saved styles, or delete the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
